What is First Tee Greater Kansas City?

We are a youth development organization teaching young people positive values such as honesty, integrity, sportsmanship and confidence while using the game of golf as a tool.  We help over 12,000 young people each year learn valuable Life Skills through a "seamless approach." Participants learn to communicate better, develop self-awareness, learn to set reachable goals and practice resistance skills while having fun and learning to play golf. First Tee lessons are taught at eight area golf course and in hundreds of area school PE classes. Research shows 78% of our participants are learning and using life skills such as goal-setting, interpersonal communication, self-management and resistance skills. We also award college scholarships and provide summer internships to First Tee participants. All money raised in Kansas City stays here to help our kids.
