2-Person Scramble

Best of the 2 tee shots (as determined by the team) is marked and all players get to play their second shots from that location. The team then each plays their next shot from the best location of the prior shot until the team finishes the hole.

Purpose

The First Tee Tournament Series is focused on creating golfers for life. This is an introduction to tournament play with an emphasis on a fun and interactive competitive atmosphere.

Eligibility

Open to junior golfers ages 7-12. A players ages as of tournament day, will determine the age division they will play in.

Format

Ages 7-10 will play 6-holes (8” size cup holes)
Ages 11-12 will play 9-holes (regular size cup holes)
Ages 7-8 yardages will be 1,000 – 1,500
Ages 9-12 will be 1,400 – 1,900
Stroke play, Best ball, scramble and shamble play format will be available in select events

Entries and Fees

Players may enter the event by registering online. The entry fee is $30 per player for the event. The entry fee includes golf, trophies, water, and snacks on the golf course. Players must walk.

Rules of Golf, Competition is Final

Play will be governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and First Tee Greater Kansas City. Questions will be settled by the on-site Rules Committee, whose decision will be final. 

Ties

At the conclusion of the play, if a tie for the first place occurs, a sudden death playoff will be conducted to determine the winner.

Equipment

All golf balls and clubs must conform to USGA specifications. One Ball Rule is not in effect.

Dress Code

Proper golf attire is required and please no shoes with metal spikes.   

Spectators

Spectators are allowed and may walk along to watch the event. Golf carts may be rented by spectators if they are available, but players are not allowed to ride on the golf cart during competition. Spectators (riding or walking) are asked to remain on the cart path during the play of a hole. Spectators may help search for golf balls, but must not function as a caddie. 

Registration

On-site registration will not be required. Please arrive at your starting tee 10 minutes prior to your starting time to receive instructions.

Range

Range balls can be purchased for the event and will be open 90 minutes before first tee time.
